Katsuki Yūri is the top figure skater in the Japan Skating Federation. He is known to be 'the figure skater with the world's biggest glass heart.' After a crushing defeat in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final and other competition losses, he became depressed and puts his career on hold to focus on his last year of college.
Until his idol Victor Nikiforov, a five-time world champion, shows up, after watching a leaked video of Yuuri performing his free skate, Stay Close to Me. He declares he's going to coach Yuuri to win the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating...and that he's moving in.
Which isn't awkward at all. Not one bit.
